When I diligently consider the deeds of men
to search for knowledge under the sun
To behold the creation of God
to learn from all He has made
I returned and concluded that all is but vanity and vexation of Spirit…
For when I had considered all
and had enquired all He has made
all is but vain and a worthless show under the heavens
For I beheld the poor how hungry they get
I considered the righteous,
how oft they are oppressed
Lo, this is a mystery and vain under the sun!
For how doth the wicked wax strong?
and the righteous grow weak?
In prosperity, yea, even in power
this is but vanity and a great mystery
Again, I returned to consider the afflictions of the afflicted
Yea, even the victory of the wicked!
This is not new under the sun
and it’s of a great measure
I concluded that this world is full of mysteries,
who can know it?
Yea, the earth is full of sorrow,
who can bear it?
All is but vanity and a vain show
under the sun
Nevertheless, in a very little while
the righteous will soon flourish
For the days draws near,
yea, the time is here when the Son of man
will appear to end all sufferings
Selah…
